Chris Mendoza is a multi-hat wearing musician, who has spent 20 years as a professional touring keyboardist, music director, on-air radio personality, mixing engineer and mastering engineer. Addicted at an early age to the magic coming from a speaker, he knew early on his life would be consumed with protecting the integrity of that magic. Chris began his professional career in 1999 as the Afternoon Drive Radio Personality for 99.1 FM (then known as KNOT) in Northern Arizona. He continued to Nashville, Tennessee in 2004 where he started his professional touring career. He played keyboards and/or directed the band for Chris Cagle, Everlast/House of Pain, Heidi Newfield/Trick Pony, Redlight King, Nashville's Muzik Mafia (Big & Rich, James Otto, Damien Horne (also of The Farm), Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, Shannon Lawson, Shanna Crooks), Trevor Rosen (Old Dominion) and Craig Wayne Boyd (The Voice winner). With his ability to build sounds and play multiple parts accurately, Chris is frequently called upon to audition or rehearse with a variety of name artists; Natasha Bedingfield, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Selena Gomez, and Ke$ha. Although his success has primarily been as a touring musician, Chris has always maintained his deep affection for how instruments converse with one another to make memorable moments in recordings. Before Lunaverse¢ī, Chris spent tens of thousands of hours arranging, recording, mixing and mastering various artists in his personal time. Now, armed with the artists at Lunaverse¢ī, coupled with his achieved knowledge and skill, he is ready to give back to listeners what was given to him many years ago; an addiction.
